Pebeo Setacolor Fabric Paint Auxiliary Products

Auxiliary Products are specially formulated to be used in combination with the Setacolor colours, this new range of auxiliary products allows you to adapt the colours to different techniques and to enlarge the creative possibilities. Setacolor is a range of concentrated heat fixed colours for decorating fabrics. Particularly vivid and bright, Setacolor colours can be used to paint, stain or print natural or synthetic fibers. After fixing with an iron, they are perfectly resistant to washing and dry cleaning and the fabric retains all of its suppleness.

• For a uniform finish work the brush using smooth broad strokes

Allows you to create relief patterns on fabric

For Bright Colours:

• Simply apply the the compound to your fabric and allow to dry
• Apply your Setacolor Paints in the usual way
• To expand the relief compound either iron on the reverse side of the fabric or use a hairdryer

For Pastel Colours

• Mix the compound with with one of your Setacolor paints apply in the usual way
• To expand the relief compound either iron on the reverse side of the fabric or use a hairdryer

Colorless Water Based Gutta

Product Information:

Setasilk Water Based Colorless Gutta

• Thick textured water based Setasilk guttas can be used for outlining Setasilk paintings
• They are applied directly with a tube or an applicator bottle
• They pass perfectly through the fiber of the fabric and stop Setasilk colors, which can be then applied
• The clear gutta is specially formulated to be removable by washing
• They can be used on all types of silk
• Air dry in 30 minutes; fix with hot iron on reverse side of painting for 3-4 minutes

Preparation of fabric:

• Wash and iron your fabric to remove any sizing
• Prepare a stencil by copying your design onto thick card, plastic or vinyl
• Cut it out with a craft knife

Colour Application:

• Place your stencil in position on your fabric
• Apply the fabric paint with a brush or sponge
• Application is easier if a little drop of Thickener is added to the Setacolor fabric paint

Colour fixing:

• Allow your painted fabric to air dry about 1 hour
• Press your fabric for about five minutes on the reverse side of the fabric with a dry iron on cotton setting
• Alternatively you can fix by placing in a pre-heated oven for 5 minutes at 300° F (150° C) or by using a hair dryer
