Label Information

This unique line of signature labels makes it easy to bring the perfect finishing touch to your needlework.

Color the pre-printed labels with brush tip dye pens to coordinate with the colors in your quilts. They come on a sheet, making them large enough to hoop for beading or embroidery. After you're done transforming a label, simply cut it from the full sheet, sign and date it, and stitch it to your project.

Labels are hand printed on fine quality high thread count cotton, They're done with a water base ink that's more earth friendly and tolerates ironing.

After spending countless hours on your handwork, now you can signature an important part of it. Write yourself into history with this lovely medium for personal expression!

Hints for Computer Quilters to use the Labor of Love Signature Labels:

Color the pre-printed labels with brush-tip dye pens to coordinate with the colors in your quilts.

The Labels come on a sheet, making them large enough to hoop for beading or embroidery or iron on freezer paper to run through your printer. We even carry the Freezer Paper.

For Permanent Fabric Printouts from your favorite Inkjet Printer: Presoak your labels in Bubble Jet Set 2000 before running through the printer.

For Permanent Fabric Printouts from Laser Printers: Let the printout set a few hours, then use the iron at cotton setting to heat set the printout.

Note: Lasers use HEAT to set the carbon print! Make sure all the freezer paper is covered by the label's fabric! I suggest ironing the labels to the freezer paper and then trimming the sandwich with a rotary cutter and ruler for a clean edge that has NO freezer paper edges showing. Any freezer paper that touches the HOT printer roller will stick and create a mess! I have done multiple times with great success.

Type your message in your favorite desktop publishing or Graphic program like Word, Corel, PhotoShop, Illustrator, or even using the Quilt-Pro Text Tool.

After you're done transforming a label, simply cut it from the full sheet and stitch it to your project.

Note: You can sign the label with your own signature by using a permanent ink, fine tip pen.

Testing your label for permanency is always a good idea. Use Bubble Jet Rinse to protect the label's brush pen dyes and your quilt's fabrics from laundry soap's harsh chemicals that can fade your colors.
