About the Author

Ellen Anne Eddy has spent most of her life teaching, writing, and working with fabric. She currently teaches a series of fiber art courses called Thread Magic, which covers a variety of machine-embroidery techniques for quiltmakers.

Ellen lives in Chicago with one older lady cat, mehitablel Le Plume, and three younger apprentices, Rosalinkda, Ivy Gray Grace, and Gabriel Golden Paw. They are all involved with Elle's work and long since taken over quality control.

"I believe in the artist within each of us, Ellen says. "We travel alone through our lives and our art, but we support each other by sharing our vistions, stories, and work. My hope is that in sharing my journey as an artist, I can offer that support to the artist in you as you travel your own path."
