About the Author

As a small child, Lori Buhler learned many forms of needlework, including sewing, from her mother. She began her endeavor into quilting in the 1980s and hasn't looked back since. Although she began making quilts using traditional hand-sewing methods, she has learned to appreciate the faster results of machine work. In addition to being an active member of several quilting groups, she has also won numerous regional awards, including Quilter of the Year from the Cal-Co Quilter's Guild in 2001. Lori enjoys all aspects quiltmaking, but especially likes to find easier ways to achieve a more complicated look for today's busy quilters.

Lori resides in Battle Creek, Michigan, with her husband, Dave; daughter, Amanda; a big brown dog named Zeke; and a little gray cat named Zoey.
