About the Author

From my earliest childhood through 58 years of marriage to Neil, my fondest memories are of time spent with family and friends at "the cabin." In the early 1950s my parents bought a lot on Lake Minnie Belle near the town where we lived in Minnesota. With my aunt and uncle they built a small two-bedroom cabin with a fantastic view of the spring-fed lake. During the hot summer months, we eagerly awaited Dad's return from wok so we could go for an evening dip in the lake. The cabin was an integral part of my courtship and marriage to Neil, whose family also had a cabin across the lake,

Because some of my happiest memories are of the rest and relaxation offered by the cabin, it is not surprising that many of the quilts I've designed over the years reflect that same sense of calm and comfort in their patterns and color combinations. On the following pages, I've gathered up 26 of my favorites along with several pillows and optional colorways for a new collection of classic quilts that I hope will bring you as much pleasure and comfort as they have to my family and friends.
