Over the Line |

Couching is quite simply one of the most versatile stitches in our vocabulary. The aim of the Double Trouble Books is to tempt the reader into working some of the ideas illustrated and then develop the techniques in their own unique ways. We continue to emphasize the value of working exploratory samples and experimenting with new material. In this way fresh approaches emerge and can enrich and influence ongoing work.
From earliest times couching, in one of its' many forms, has had a valued place in textile history and, with many contemporary applications, will most certainly continue to do so.
