About the Author

Debbie Caffrey is a self-published author of six books and eleven patterns. In addition she has designed and published over ninety patterns in an ever-changing line of mystery quilts. Debbie has taught many energy-filled workshops nationwide for guilds and shops. Debbie has contributed a number of articles to Traditional Quiltworks magazine and has appeared on two episodes of HGTV's television program, Simply Quilts.

Debbie and her husband Dan returned to the Middle Rio Grande Valley of New Mexico in the fall of 2000 where they live near the small community of La Joya. They have lived in Anchorage, Alaska since 1979 where they raised their 3 children. Besides quilting, Debbie enjoys long walks and drives and experience new places. In New Mexico Debbie and Dan spend many hours exploring the back roads and trails, watching the birds and animals, and studying the plants, rocks, and vistas of this diverse lad.

What is a noodle?
A noodle is a strip of fabric that is two inches wide.

How did I happen to come to that definition? It all began with a quilt which required many two-inch wide strips. After cutting the strips, I looked down at the table and the strips reminded me of the way my grandmother left homemade noodles on the kitchen table to dry. That quilt was named Noodle Soup.
