About the Author

Roberta Horton of Berkeley, California, has been a quiltmaker since 1970. She is the author of five quiltmaking books and has taught and lectured worldwide. She is known for her flair with color, which she attributes to her study of Amish quilts. Fascination with the Amish lifestyle, which she feels is expressed in their quilts, has made her seek simplicity in her own work.
