the Authors
Linda Turner Griepentrog is an avid machine embroiderer and
likes to challenge herself (and others) by thinking outside the hoop! She was
the editor of "Sew News" magazine for 19 years and helped launch "Creative
Machine Embroidery" magazine. She now owns G Wiz Creative Services and writes,
edits, teaches, designs and leads tours for several companies in the sewing/craft
fields. When she's not working in her home office outside Portland, Ore., she
enjoys all the Northwest has to offer, especially the fabric shopping. Rebecca
Kemp Brent entered the world of computerized machine embroidery in 1987 with one
of the first home sewing/embroidery machines available. Her enjoyment and enthusiasm
have grown along with the industry. She is a freelance author, educator and designer
whose work has appeared in "Creative Machine Embroidery," "Sew
News" and other publications. She works from her home office in Tennessee
and spends her spare time on hand needleworkand planning shopping trips
to Oregon.
