So what is "Quilting-on-the-Go" by Carolyn Forster - it is piecing a block on one outing, quilting it on the next. Never again leave your quilting languishing at home, it can now go with you. The quilts have been created in small portable pieces and it means that tacking/basting is a small and manageable task. Quilts that you start will now become quilts that actually get finished before you start the next one.

Back Cover Information

If you love piecing, but dread the thought of marking and stitching a full-size quilt, try Carolyn's version of quilt-as-you-go and your quilting will never be the same again ...

In Quilting-on-the-Go, Carolyn explains how to break large quilt designs down into small, portable sections. Using her clear instructions you can piece a block on one outing, quilt it the next - and once you are ready to join the blocks, most of the quilting is already done. The second part of the book contains 15 lovely projects, complete with full-size templates and helpful step-by-step diagrams, that will have your fingers itching to get started! Wherever you go, your quilting can now go too ....

Author Carolyn ForsterMeet the Author

I love patchwork. I love taking blocks with me to piece wherever I go: in the gardens, on holiday, at a guild meeting. But for years I found that my pieced quilt tops were always sitting at home, waiting for me to find the time and space to add the quilting.

Recently I have solved this problem by working in a way I call Quilting-on-the-Go! With this method, your quilting can be just as portable as your patchwork: piece a block on one outing, quilt it on the next.

Carolyn has been making quilts for the last 22 years and teaching for the last 12. She has had quilt projects published in a number of books and magazines, as well as having quilts featured on television.
