About the AuthorsRita Weiss has created many craft books, is recognized as an authority on the history of needlework, and has lectured worldwide. She joined the American School of Needlework in 1980 as Executive Vice President, was one of the first presidents of the International Quilt Association and is currently chairman of the Craft Yarn Council of America's Crochet Marketing Committee. Other books Weiss has written include 24-Hour Crochet Projects, 24-Hour Knitting Projects, 24-Hour Quilts, Knitting for the Pampered Baby and Making Antique Quilts. She is the co-author of 100 Afghans to Knit & Crochet, 100 Hats to Knit & Crochet, Heirloom Afghans to Knit & Crochet and 7-Day Afghans. Linda Causee never planned to become a quilter although she enjoyed doing crafts. Then she was hired by a local needlework publishing company to make models and shortly thereafter was promoted to quilt editor. Causee fell in love with foundation piecing while editing a book on the subject and has developed great expertise in the technique. She has written many of her own books, including 365 Foundation Quilt Blocks and Quilts A to Z.
