About
the Author Sharon V. Rotz is an experienced quilter, teacher, designer and textile artist.
Rotz has taught quilting for the past 20 years, and she began teaching freedom quilting in 2000. Her prize-winning quilts have been featured in gallery art exhibits and regional and international shows. She also has sold her textile art to medical facilities, museums and numerous private collectors.
A graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Stout, Rotz has worked in the ready-made clothing industry, operated her own business creating custom soft furnishings and clothing and designed exclusive patterns for the Better Homes and Gardens Quilting Catalog. She began publishing her own pattern line, Bysher, in 1999.
A resident of Mosinee, Wis., Rotz enjoys inspiration and encouragement from her husband, Tom; her two married children and their spouses; and a growing number of grandchildren. When she's not quilting, Rotz enjoys spending time outdoors, especially fishing.
