Pam has pursued many different disciplines over the years and designs in a non-traditional style viewing the common place with the eclectic eye. Her back varies with professional ice skater, costume designer, freelance calligrapher and art gallery owner, technical writer, consultant to high tech startups, editor of the MQ News, and creator of quilting crosswords for American Quilter Magazine. While she made her first quilt in 1984, she didn't start up again until 1998.
Beginners and pros will find A Handful of Appliqué an easy guide book for appliqué preparation techniques. Six techniques are included to make appliqué handy and easy to take along. For the beginner, five very simple patterns are included along with three project ideas. Four stitches are described and illustrated with photographs that will entice the experienced appliquer.
