Introduction from the EditorI've been having a love affair for years, and it is time to let everyone know. I'm in love with my serger. I have been a serger user since 1981 and a serger owner since 1983. As I write this, I'm somewhat in shock when sewers approach me asking about the hottest machine on the marker - a serger. I always thought that everybody had one and had on on going love affair with their serger, just like I did. After my first serged stitch, I discovered true love. I fell in love with this machine because of its innovation, its speed and its professionalism. To be honest, I know that I would not enjoy sewing as much as I do if I didn't own a serger. The serger eliminates much of the 'fussiness' and 'homemade' look of wearables, home decor and, most importantly, the gift items I love to make and give to family and friends What sewers have told me they want is more great serger projects.
