About the AuthorRami Kim started sewing making Barbie® doll clothes for her two daughters, Deanna and Chelsey. As a former scientist, creating micro-garments fascinated her imagination. Later she happened to take a free strip-piecing quilting class at a local fabric store. It was a beautiful beginning to her new career as a fabric artist. Since then, she has won 13 Best of Show awards for her art-to-wear garments and accumulated nine sewing machines (and sold some!) She travels nationally and internationally to do lectures and workshops and is recognized everywhere for her outstanding designs and meticulous workmanship. This is Rami's second book. Folded Fabric Elegance was published in 2007.
