Author Michael BossomFrom the Author

While encaustic art is ideal for those who are just beginning to explore their creativity, it can also be useful for practiced artists.

Encaustic art is an unusual and different way to create beautiful works of art and exciting and versatile medium which allows people of all abilities to release their creative potential.

To begin you will need waxes, tools and surfaces, a grasp of basic techniques and approaches, plus ideas. You do not need special skills, though any you develop will serve you well. With encaustic art, creativity can be a never-ending story.

Michael Bossom is a former carpenter and wood turner. He is now a working artist who sells paintings and promotes and develops encaustic art internationally. Michael has written and had published many magazine articles, and has featured in television programs both in this country and in the USA. He is the author of the Search Press book Encaustic Art, How to Paint with Wax.

Michael's love of nature is reflected in this work. He also enjoys creative multimedia and spending time with his family.
