From the AuthorThey said I needed a bio. Apparently there's someone out there who wants to read this page, so have fun! I've been married to the same guy for 35 years (oy vey). I have two grown daughters and even though I live in the age of 60-year-old mothers, I have no plans of having any more kids. I'm a very proud of grammy of 4 grandkids (triplets by one daughter and darling little guy by the other daughter). My favorite color is red but I rarely use it in quilts. What's up with that? I enter quilts into shows to see them hanging up. I don't have a lot of large wall space in my home. I am blessed to have received numerous international, national and local awards for my quilts and I never even had to bribe one single person! You've gotta love that! I live in San Francisco, mostly for the weather, the restaurants, the ocean, the views, the cosmopolitan feel the city has and, of course, the earthquakes. I have no formal art training. I can't draw a straight line. I've been told I need to take color appreciation classes. (I'm very confused by this, because I appreciate color .....I really do!) I'm constantly told that I do things wrong in quilting. I don't care, it works for me. I firmly believe that life is too short, so just do it. Don't think about what you COULD be doing, SHOULD be doing, or WOULD have done....just do it. So, if you are still not bored senseless, join me on my online group through Yahoo...debkarasikquilts!
