About the Author

Christine Maraccini discovered her love for quilting many years ago when she decided to put her sewing skills to work making baby quilts for friends who were starting their families. She has been in love with this art form ever since and continually looks for new approaches to the old standards. Christine began a successful machine-quilting business in 2000 in order to stay home to raise her young children. Since then she has received various awards on the local and state level, had her work published in American Patchwork and Quilting, and appeared on and helped create a quilt for ABC's Extreme Makeover: Home Edition. Christine lives in the beautiful Gold Country of Northern California with her husband, three children and all of the critters that they bring home. She teaches fun and intensive machine-quilting classes.
