About the AuthorIntuitive Color & Design is Jean's 28th book. This prolific author, teacher and shop owner is well known in the quilting world for her willingness to share ideas for quilting as well as for teaching business workshops. In 1975, she established one of the first quilt shops in America, The Stitchin' Post, in Sisters, Oregon. The same year, she started the world famous Sisters Outdoor Quilt Show. She has won numerous awards. She was also the first independent retailer to be inducted into the Primedia Hall of Fame. In 2010, she will be inducted into the Quilter's Hall of Fame as the 40th honoree. Jean and her husband, John, have just moved into their new home in Sisters, where she can ride her bike to work, weather permitting. She has two children, Jason and Valori, and four grandchildren, Braden, Olivia, Violette and a baby girl on the way. |
