Back Cover InformationSudoku is a very popular numbers puzzle that has been around for a long time. I first became aware of it during my Christmas time shopping. Standing in long lines with nothing to do you tend to pick up an interesting book and read it until it is your turn to check out. I bought the book. The quilter in me immediately flashed Nine Patches and I need nine different fabrics. Thus a quilt was born- a pattern full of different block layouts and best of all ll it had No Repeats. There was no chance that two pieces of the same fabric pattern would touch and other would be no repeated overall pattern.... You will find several ideas for quilt patterns and projects to sew from your Sudoku puzzle solutions. We have also included 24 different 9x9 Sudoku puzzles and they all come with a few starting numbers just like a regular Sudoku puzzle would. When you see a line under a number it can not be changed. Think of them as clues to the solution. Use a pencil ( not a pen) and following the rules of " no repeat of numbers." Write in the missing numbers in the blank squares. The majority of the puzzles are easy, but I did include a few that are slightly harder. (These are among the last four puzzles.) If you find you really enjoy the puzzles there are Sudoku books everywhere. The solutions are always at the end of the book and so are ours. |
