About the Authors

Claudia Plett and Le Ann Weaver first met in 2002 when they were both making a mystery quilt on an Internet quilting forum. Since that time, they have become best quilting buddies!

They live just a few miles apart, but 45 minutes by car. Claudia resides in Inola, Oklahoma with her mother-in-law, Mae. She has three grown sons, five grandchildren. Le Ann lives in Claremore, Oklahoma, with her husband, Scott, and her son, Mitchell. She also has two grown daughters and three granddaughters.

Claudia has been quilting for as long as she can remember, and she has stopped counting the number of quilts she has made. Most of her quilts are her own original designs. She has owned a retail Web site since 2001, www.claudiasquiltshoppe.com. On her Web site she features a monthly newsletter, photo gallery, free block of the month patterns and humorous "Ask Granny" advice column written by her alter ego, Granny. Designing scrap and charm quilts is one of her special talents.

Le Ann has been a quilter for over 25 years. Along that path, she also designed and created bridal gowns and theatrical costumes. But her true passion has always been quilting.
