Author Mimi DietrichAbout the Author

Mimi Dietrich has always wanted to write a diary, but she's been writing quilt books instead! Inspired by patchwork sampler quilts made in the 1970s and the appliqued Baltimore Album quilts in which each block has a different design, Mimi stitched a Diary quilt instead of writing a diary.

Mimi has a class of "Graduate Students" who have taken her year-long Baltimore Album class. As they appliqued their first Baltimore quilts, they shared stories of life experiences, family members and travels. During the months leading up to completion of this book, they made blocks for their Diary quilts and once again shared stories of their lives. The stories are the best part and even though they are not "written" in a diary, they are stitched into quilts.

This is Mimi's 15th book for Martingale & Company.
