About the Author

Now a USA TODAY bestselling author of women's fictions, Emilie Richards recalls fondly the months she served as a VISTA volunteer in the Arkansas Ozarks. This was the country's third poorest county but the women created beauty out of nothing— turning scraps of old clothing and feedsacks into exquisitely beautiful quilts.
