About the Author

Ann began her quilting career in 1970 by producing a line of patchwork products that she successfully marketed across the country. In 1979 her established business of Patches etc. turned into a quilt shop in the historic district of St. Charles, Missouri. In 1984, Patches etc. Craft Center was opened to accommodate her needlework clientele. In 1992, the Patches Button Shoppe made its debut, offering the first and only button shop in the St. Louis region

Ann is a quilt historian, lecturer and the author of Pretty Polka Dots and the A Thought-a-Day Calendar for Today's Quilter, as well as other articles for quilt-related publications. In addition, she has authored 100 Things to Do in St. Charles and 100 Best Kept Secrets of Missouri..
