About the AuthorTracy A. Franklin is a freelance traditional embroiderer. She trained at the Royal School of Needlework and continued to work there as a teacher, becoming Apprentice Coordinator in 1997. Today she is a freelance teacher, and also exhibits and takes on commissions. She is the author of Contemporary Whitework and a contributor to the Royal School of Needlework Embroidery Techniques, also published by Batsford.
