From the AuthorEmbroidery has become such an important part of my life that it seems to take up most of my waking hours. I can truly say that I am addicted to embroidery. I have been stitching for the past 20 years and I still remember with fondness my first visits to the Cape Embroiderers' Guild. In 2001 I started dyeing and selling my own threads and Chameleon Threads very quickly became a business in its own right. Today we supply the South African market as well as shops in Australia, New Zealand, the United Kingdom and Europe. Using space-dyed threads has added an interesting dimension to my work and I cannot imagine stitching without it. It is great to be able to just dye up a color when you need it! In this book I have tried to pass on my knowledge of several types of embroidery as well as the many ways of using space-dyed threads.
