For more than 20 years as a quilter and several years as a shop owner, I've been developing and teaching techniques that make it quick, easy and fun for quilters—even beginners—to create intricate miniature blocks. But, don't let the word "miniature" intimidate you. These same techniques can be used for all of your piecing and applique projects.

Pieced Applique™ eliminates inset points and curves from even the most complicated blocks. Quilts and blocks that you might never have considered are now not only possible but a breeze.

Also, first and foremost, as a proud mother of five, I've always appreciated new tools that help save time while making quilting even easier. So I designed new fussy cutting and squaring up rulers for Creative Grid® that are perfect complements for Pieced Applique™.

I used three very different and unique fabric lines in this book to illustrate the dramatic difference fabric can make in a block or quilt. The LaBelle Rose line by Holly Holderman is used in the featured Pieced Applique™ blocks and in the technique notebooks. The Full Sun fabric line designed by WillowBerry Lane and the New Nation line by Nancy Gere are used in the color option block examples
