About the Authors

Having met as members of the same quilt guild just two years ago, the authors found their skills to be very complementary, as one is a passionate quilt and pattern designer with a background in marketing, and the other is a textile designer with a parallel career in fine art and illustration.

Barbara Campbell spent most of her adult working life as an executive assistant in several different industries, but always in the marketing area. She acquired important writing, merchandising and public relations skills. Once she discovered the wonderful world of quilting, she abandoned her 'real job' in the corporate world to venture into her own business designing quilts and patterns. She spent some time as a technical reader for a quilting publication and then as an editor for two quilting magazines, acquiring additional skills to incorporate into her business plan. The only thing missing was the ideal partner, which she found in Yolanda.

Yolanda Fundora has been painting, drawing and designing all her life. Somewhat to her surprise, she has managed to make her present life a wonderful mixture of all the artistic activities that interest her: textile design, illustrating children's books, all kinds of fine art of the digital and not-so-digital variety, gardening and designing books and covers for a Spanish-English bilingual publisher. She is supremely lucky to share her life and home with a very talented art quilter and to have wonderful 'art' discussions as daily fare. She also thanks the universe for having found Barbara at the right moment in life, a business partner of singular inventiveness and generosity of spirit.

Combining their broad-based experience, Barbara and Yolanda are now bringing fabric lines to market under the Jersey Girls brand. Almost all the fabrics used throughout the book are designed by Yolanda and printed by various manufacturers.
