About the Designer

Jodi G. Warner finds inspiration and creative time in her home studio in a rural/residential area near Salt Lake City, Utah. Working within easy reach of family members and near treasured quilts and other keepsakes, she finds it especially enjoyable to execute her designs in fabric and stitches.

Jodi ws raised in the Holladay community southeast of Salt Lake City. She learned to sew at a very young age. She received a B.A. degree in Textiles/Fashion Design from Brigham Young University in 1978, and began designing and making costumes for a theatrical studio and gowns for a bridal shop.

As a new homemaker, Jodi found she enjoyed applying traditional patchwork and appliqué methods to solve home decorating needs. She soon realized she had found a design arena that offered endless challenges and rewards.

Jodi has lectured, conducted workshops, taught at quilt shops and mounted one-woman quilt shows throughout the Intermountain West. Jodi's quilts have won local, regional and national honor, including several prestigious purchase awards. Her patterns and articles about her work have appeared in many magazines. She also owns and operates her own pattern business, Hearthsewn, a natural outgrowth of the requests from students and area shops for formalized patterns of the designs she was teaching. Many cherished quilting memories involve sharing with students what she has learned and developed, with the dividend being a faithful student following.
