About the Author

Karla Alexander, quiltmaker, teacher and author, has written three previous books; this is her fourth book on the art of quiltmaking.

Karla has also contributed her designs to the popular Martingale & Company yearly wall calendars and to the book Creative Quilt Collection Volume Two. She is the author of the Stack the Deck Series.

She has also created her own design business, Saginaw St. Quilt Company, which has a line of over 50 different patterns.

Wherever she goes, Karla is constantly observing her surroundings and is inspired with fresh ideas for new quilt designs. To "keep up the creative flow," she has many quilts in progress at the same time!

Karla lives in Salem, Oregon, with her husband, Don, and the youngest of her three sons, William.
