About the Author

Carol Burniston has been quilting for a few years and sewing forever; she claims to have been born with the love-of-fabric gene. While she was growing up with five sisters and one brother, there was always one room in the house called "the sewing room." The sewing room was where the action took place. It was where Carol and her sisters congregated with their mother to share stories and to learn how to sew. Carol and her sisters quickly went from sewing straight lines on striped fabric to sewing their own clothes and piecing quilts with left-over fabric scraps.

Today, Carol enjoys using bright, fun color in her quilts. When she walks into a fabric store, she is drawn to the colorful fabrics; they make her mile. She enjoys using contrasting colors, combining them to create playful, light-hearted designs.

Carol's sisters, Barbara Brandeburg and Teri Christopherson, have been successful book authors for a number of years. Another of Carol's sisters, Janet Murdock, an award-winning longarm quilter, machine quilted all the projects for this, Carol's second book with C & T Publishing.
