Back Cover InformationSunflower Patch is a slightly rustic, nature inspired collection which includes basket weave quilts, pumpkins, wreaths and sunflowers. From the AuthorEvery year, my husband plants a row of sunflowers near the fence. It's a fabulous sight --- a dozen enormous sunflowers towering up to watch over the street. This year they shot up especially tall and fast. The pumpkins made an early showing as well. My friend held her daughter's wedding reception in our backyard mid-summer, and 20 fat pumpkins greeted her guests from our vegetable garden! I designed these quilts during the hot, lazy days of summer, when I felt just a little bit closer to nature. I especially love the Acorn Ridge quilt, since our property is over-looked by 100 year old oak trees and my children collect acorns. (Along with feathers, rocks, seashells, chunks of cement and anything else they can fit in their pocket.) I hope you enjoy this slightly rustic, nature inspired collection. As always, I make everything as quick and easy as possible with simple piecing and fusible appliqué. Happy Sewing!
