From a curly-toed stocking that will tackle Santa's funny bone to a fun flurry of red-white-and-black ornaments, you're going to set an all-new Yuletide scene. The machine appliqué and sewing are supremely easy, and the results are simply spectacular! About the AuthorWhen you have Linda Lum DeBono's eye for color, you can't stop at just one or two hues. Her projects are designed so that color is the main feature. "My patterns actually tend to be simple," says Linda. "If you look at them, the lines are seldom complicated. By using basic shapes, you can use lots of color. This gives big results for less effort." We were surprised to learn that Linda only started sewing a few years ago. "When my husband and I moved to New Jersey from Canada," says Linda. "I left behind a busy career in pharmaceuticals. I needed something to do with my time. Although I had never sewn anything before, I attended a couple of quilt workshops. After that, I continued to quilt and sew, teaching myself as I went. It was about a year later when local quilt shop owners encouraged me to sell my patterns." When Linda isn't drawing new patterns or designing textiles for Henry Glass Fabrics, she's spending time with her husband, Reno, and her two sons, Adam and Alex.
