About the Author

Sharon Baker loves all forms of arts and crafts, but her love of quilting outshines them all. Creating realistic three-dimensional flowers from fabric to incorporate into her quilts has become a driving passion in recent years. Having been born blind in her right eye, she sees the world in a very flat way, so she likes to incorporate some kind of three-dimensional element into her work. She shared many of her earlier quilt creations in her first book, Fabulous Flowers: Mini-Quilts in Dimensional Appliqué.

When she isn't quilting, Sharon enjoys spending hours in her garden studying the complexities of nature, communing with nature as she four-wheels, baking bread, making jams and jellies, and spending time with her husband and two sons, who thankfully, she says, are accustomed to her obsessive behavior and passion for fabric, beads and embellishing threads.
