AuthorAbout the Author

Caroline lives at Pyramul, near Mudgee, in New South Wales, Australia. The area is well known for its superfine wool and its superb wines. Caroline and husband John have five adult children who have all left home to make their own way in the world. Their greatest gift to both Caroline and John are their beloved grandchildren.

Caroline has been quilting 'seriously' for approximately 15 years. After selling her fabric shop, Caroline was diagnosed with breast cancer and as with many others, quilting definitely became a form of therapy.

Many of her quilts have been published in Australian quilting magazines. This is her third book. The first was A Quilter's Garden-Machine Appliqué and the second Rapt in Borders, which was co-authored by close friend, Michelle Marvig.

Caroline teaches regularly. She has conducted workshops not only all over Australia, but also in New Zealand. She has demonstrated and lectured at Quilt Market in Houston, USA. Whilst machine appliqué is her first love, she also teaches students to make quilts that are predominately pieced. Encouraging students to learn new techniques that can be used to make their own designs is a joy and many friends have been make along the way.
