Carol gives dogs their day with this latest book. Country life goes hand in hand with canine companions. Carol and her cabinetmaker husband enjoy a creative homestead life in Michigan's Upper Peninsula, where the long, snowy winters give her lots of time for creating and quilting.

Since teaching herself to quilt in 1980, Carol has developed her own artistic style, but she credits nature for being an unending source of ideas. Developing these ideas is not all that occupies her time, however. When she needs a break from her creative pursuits, there is water to pump and bring into the house, wood to load in the wood box, bird feeders to fill and a large organic vegetable garden to tend.
