Although Janet loves designing, her first love is teaching. She travels and teaches as much as possible and loves every minute. To date she has taught in almost every state in the United States as well as in Canada and Europe. Her lighthearted approach to quilting makes her classes fun and exciting.

Many of Janet's quilts can be seen in national and international quilt shows and trade shows in the United States and Europe. Although most of her work is traditional, she is drawn to innovative techniques and styles. In her free time she makes one-of-kind art quilts purely for pleasure. At this time Janet has a quilt in the Alzheimer's Art Quilt Initiative and the Pilgrim/Roy Challenge.
