About the Author

Deanne Eisenman caught the quilting bug by taking a beginner's class for something to do. She hasn't looked back. Any other hobby paled in comparison. When she could not find a pattern she wanted in a quilt shop, out came the graph paper and pencil, and a new design was born. Deanne began her pattern company, Snuggles Quilts in 2003, and has been successfully self-publishing her patterns ever since. One of her quilts was featured in the American Patchwork and Quilting 2007 Calendar (the month of May).

Deanne lives and works from her home in Osage, Iowa. Her family includes her husband, Craig and two very active teenagers, Alyssa and Mitchell. Also at home is the company namesake, Snuggles the cat. Although not an inspiration for any design, Snuggles likes to lie on al the quilt samples and excess batting in the sewing room! Starting the pattern company and writing this book have been a dream come true for Deanne. It's great to go to work every day and love what you are doing!
