About
the Author
Leigh E. McDonald has been sewing since childhood and quilting
for 17 years. She teaches her contemporary quilting techniques internationally
and her art quilts are in both private and public collections. As
a teenager Leigh moved around the country with her family, and the
trend continued after she married her best friend and the love of
her life in 1976. As a result of this nomadic existence, Leigh has
a fascination for the differences among people, their speech, and
their way of life. She enjoys drawing upon her passion for people
and places while sharing her quilting expertise. Her latest big
adventure is a return to college to get a bachelor's degree in fine
arts. Leigh is a new transplant to Covington, Kentucky, where she
lives with her husband of 32 years near their two adult children.
