  About
the Authors
With over 50 combined years of quilting and computing experience,
we have recently become enthusiastic pioneers in digital
quilting through exploration of widely available hardware
and software. Our quilts range from a mix of our digitally
designed and printed fabric with commercial fabrics to those
entirely developed on a computer and printed as a completed
top.
We started collaborating in 2006, co-teaching several 2 and
5 day workshops on "Technology Is a Quilter's Best
Friend" and co-wrote the article "Digital
Delights: Applique and Piecing by Computer" published
in the January 2008 issue of American Quilter.
Sandra Hart has been teaching people hot to print
images onto fabric and incorporate these images into quilts
since 1996. Her traditional and computer-assisted quilts
have been shown in numerous quilt shows and appeared in Photo
Fun and Innovative Fabric Imagery for Quilts.
Gudny Campbell has been teaching people how to use
computers since 1984, and has taught adults and children
how to apply innovative techniques, such as digital design
and fabric painting. Her quilts were included in the books
Innovative Fabric Imagery for Quilts and Circle Play:
Simple Designs for Fabulous Fabrics. Gudny worked for
the Navy as a computer specialist until she retired in 2003,
managing an internet network and micro-computers for 300
users.
