About the Author

Tammy Kelly is a quilt designer, teacher and author. She teaches quilting at regional quilt shops, her local community college and at quilt camps. She uses all her experience as an elementary school teacher when planning and conducting a quilt class. She also encourages her students to be creative with fabric selection and design.

Tammy's favorite quilting topic is COLOR! The fabric 'talks' to her, and she carefully chooses just the right color combination for each individual quilt. Exploring patterns and color values are her passion. Her favorite quilt is always the next one—the one that is yet to be created. She never runs out of ideas, creativity or inspiration.

Many of her quilts have been published in national quilting magazines. She also self-published her own pattern line called Common Threads. Snowball Quilts is her second book.

Living in the beautiful mountain town of Flagstaff, Arizona, provides many opportunities for Tammy; her husband, Dave; and daughter, Lynnae, to enjoy entertaining friends, trying new recipes and hiking.
