Quilt Designer: Nancy Ludwig
Quilt Program used: Bargello Designer 32
Nancy Ludwig is a quilting teacher who specializes in Bargello Designed quilts. Over the last couple of years Nancy started using Bargello Designer 32 to layout the initial grid for a Bargello design because it is so fast to use. She scans her own fabrics and converts them to bitmaps that can be used in the bargello design. Using scanned fabrics gives her a realistic picture of the fabric interaction with each other and in the overall design.
After her initial design is done in Bargello Designer 32, she then takes the design and moves it to a graphic program where she cuts the design into smaller segments that are repeated around the center.

In Nancy's own words: With over 15 years experience in creating Bargello's I have learned some unique ways to create consistant distances from seam to seam. This is a must when you are going into advanced patterns. I teach a basic bargello and branch out from there into advanced options. I prefer to work with the quilting software Bargello Designer 32 and ask that students download at the least the free level. They will quickly move into more advanced needs. I will be available for all my students until they complete the project from the class. I will do all it takes to delete UFP's (un-finished projects).
