Class 1 description: Take your stick figure, break it down into the smallest parts (circles, lines, dots, curves, dashes) and then you are ready to create a Zentangle®.

Learn how to setup your tile and then each Zentangle® is broken down into step-by-step patterns using circles, lines, dots, curves and dashes! that even children understand. For frosting, add to your tangles by adding shading, sparkle, perfs, striping, weighted line, flourishes and more.

Class 2 description: March through the KnightBridge into the looking glass to explore adding lines, angles, curves, twists, turns, and shading as you create three-dimensional shapes using line and curve variations with extra touches of shading. Find out how varied and diverse this underlying structure is while exploring new tangles! Then add extra special jewels, curves and feathers.

Class 3 description: Explore more complex tangles that Twist, Turn, Bob, Weave and Wind. Learn of the do's and don'ts of drawing on BLACK TILES with White Pen and Pencil and work with Metallic Pens. Look closer at alternate methods of shading with white pencils, Clear Stardust Sakura Pen, pen shading like stippling, cross hatching & more.

Class 4 description: Developing class 4 was a breakthrough for Sharla in her personal understanding of how to draw florals for Zentangle® as well as her own art work. This was a profound experience that Sharla wants to share with you by taking you through the exercises that helped free up her creativity and propelling her Zentangle® and ZIA (Zentangle® Inspired Art) to a new level.

Learn new skills for creating florals with special strings and patterns that suggest nature, florals, fauna, leaves, branches, ocean creatures, and more. Use them to added spice to any almost design!

Create colorful backgrounds, tangles, and shading while learning about using water soluble art materials, Tsuekineko inks & Fabrico pens, Sakura Gelly Roll pens, color & watercolor pencils, water-soluble crayons, and more. Classes 7 & 8 description: While learning 16 or more additional Zentangles explore Serendipity Design by creating embellished color backgrounds created with Alcohol Inks, shading done with Alcohol Pens, Monoprints created using Gel Plates. We will explore the Mandala / Zendala and other Zentangle Inspired Art like bookmarks, cards and Tangling inspired by the colors of Monoprints. Then add Foil &/or glitter for that special touch. Sharla will offer hands-on experience for adding color successfully to Zentangles on paper and fabric.
